Protecting Life Where It Is Most Vulnerable
Le Club des Amis de Guéckédou is a community-based organization dedicated to protecting biodiversity, strengthening community resilience, and promoting sustainable development in Guinea’s forest region.
Rooted in local action and guided by scientific and humanitarian principles, we work to conserve threatened species, restore fragile ecosystems, and empower communities through environmental education and public health awareness.
At the heart of our mission is the protection of Feliciadamia stenocarpa, a Critically Endangered plant species found nowhere else in the world, on Mount Konossou.
Through partnerships with organizations such as BirdLife International, IDEAS For Us, OneTree Planted , Vicki Vargo , and in close collaboration with local authorities and communities, we turn conservation into a shared responsibility and a lasting legacy.
Together, we believe that protecting nature means protecting life—today and for future generations.
